Our DLAW fellowship alumna Vianney Sierralta was selected for an internship with Catalina Perez, congresswoman for the Antofagasta Region of Chile. Vianney Sierralta is the first recipient of the D-LAW Scholarship who finished law school in 2017 and when she completes her bar exams in 2018, she is destined to became the first Deaf lawyer in Chile.
The internship is an excellent opportunity for Vianney to acquire skills and tools for political and legislative advocacy so she can be able to further her pursuit for just and fair treatment of Deaf persons in Chile
With such a great opportunity, Vianney’s dream is to become a lawyer to fulfil her commitment to keep fighting for the rights of Deaf people in Chile has taken shape and we wish her the best of luck in her internship with Catalina Perez who is a lawyer by profession and currently a deputy for the Antofagasta Region.
D-LAW is so happy to see her progressing with her career which is moving to the right Direction.
